Wellingborough Amateur Swimming Club
MASTERS

WASC has an active Masters section of about 50 adult swimmers training and competing following the principle of “Fitness, friendship and fun”. The WASC Masters Section is Swim 21 Accredited at Foundation Level.
Training
The Masters section is now evolving to cater for all ability levels from those graduating from adult learn to swim programmes to the ex-age group club star swimmer who has come through a competitive environment. We aim to keep 17 to 24 year old’s (Seniors) swimming.
There are 5 training opportunities per week:-

Since 2006 nine or ten swimmers have regularly competed and enjoyed meeting up with fellow Masters and old friends at the following events:-
Guernsey Masters – March
Midland District Masters, Leamington Spa – April
Barnet Copthall Masters – September
Staffordshire Open Masters - September
Berks & South Bucks Open Masters, Maidenhead – October.
Some hardy souls have even tried their hand at open water competitions !
Come on in, the water’s fine!
